MEGA SOCCER RULES

Effective Fall 2009

General Rules-

-All players should play an equal amount of time.

-Players should play multiple positions throughout the season.

-Players/coaches/fans should treat everyone with good sportsmanship.

-Cursing of any nature will not be tolerated.

-Any questions regarding the rules should be clarified before with commissioner.

-Teams should provide there own game balls.

-Shin guards and socks are required for all games.

-No jewelery

One coach per team on the field

1. Direct kicks (tripping, pushing, kicking, goal kicks, intentional hand ball, corner kicks etc)

2. Indirect kicks (unintentional hand ball, kickoffs)

(If attacking team touches=kick-in)

-Team awarded the ball must have another player (either team) touch it before they can score.

3. Penalty kick will be awarded if there is a foul inside the penalty box(goalie box).

- Ball will be placed on the penalty spot and only the goalie may attempt to stop it.

-All other players must stand outside the penalty area.

4. On all kicks other than penalty kicks a defending player may stand no closer than 7 yds away.

5. Throw-ins- Player must hold the ball with both hands and throw the ball directly over their head.
